Resignation letter
A private-sector resignation under Egypt's Labour Law issued by Law No. 14 of 2025 — with the notice period, certification by the administrative authority and an acknowledgement of receipt
Date: [DATE OF LETTER]
To: [COMPANY NAME]
Attn: Human Resources Manager
Dear Sir or Madam,
Subject: Resignation
I, [FULL NAME], National ID [NATIONAL ID], employed with you as [JOB TITLE], hereby resign from my position. My last working day will be [LAST WORKING DAY], after the three-month notice period under Article 156 of the Labour Law issued by Law No. 14 of 2025, unless you agree to release me from all or part of it.
I submit this resignation in writing and signed by me, to be certified by the competent administrative authority under Article 167 of the Law. I understand that my service ends only with the decision accepting my resignation, and I will keep working until you decide.
During the notice period I will continue my work and hand over everything in my custody — tools, equipment and files — to the person you name, with the information needed to carry on the work.
I kindly request:
1. Written notice of the decision accepting my resignation and its date.
2. Payment of my dues: wages up to my last working day, pay for my unused annual leave under Article 125, and any bonus or commission due.
3. An experience certificate showing my period of service and position under Article 175, and the steps to close my social insurance registration.
Thank you for your support during my time with the company. I wish you every success.
Yours faithfully,
