Our Christmas rules
A limit per person, decided before we hit the shops.
Kids' gifts first, then everyone else.
Online orders early — check each shop's Christmas delivery cut-off.
Keep the receipts for swaps after Boxing Day.
Anything left over goes into the 52-week challenge in January.
All amounts are the family's own: the examples are not average prices. Weekly amounts run from today to the week before Christmas Eve, rounded up to the dollar; the last one evens out.
