Police within 48 hours of the event, and get the CAS number (Sasria wordings).
Written notice to your insurer within 30 calendar days of the event; full details within 60 calendar days (Sasria Motor and Material Damage wordings 2026). Send the notice now, even with estimates.
Outer limit for motor claims: no claim is payable after 12 months from the event under the Sasria Motor wording 2026, unless legal proceedings are pending.
Sasria cover only applies if your own policy includes it. Damage from public violence is claimed through your insurer, not directly from Sasria.
Third-party only cover usually does not pay for your own vehicle: check your schedule.
